Board supports and flooring: questions about compatibility
В мені · VMENI · Updated · 1 min read
A sadhu board needs a level, stable surface compatible with its supports. Rubber feet may alter grip and protect flooring, but they do not correct a rocking base. A soft mat is not automatically an improvement: a thick or folded layer may let the board tilt.
Check the underside
Supports should be intact, in their intended positions and free of debris. A missing or worn part can change the board’s position. Do not compensate with a coin, folded cloth or cardboard.
Different flooring behaves differently
Smooth and textured surfaces can provide different grip; dust and moisture also matter. Use a clean, dry surface permitted by the instructions. Colour or an “anti-slip” label does not prove the feet’s performance on your floor.
A mat beside versus beneath the board
A mat for the surrounding area and an underlay supporting the base have different jobs. Follow the model’s instructions rather than adding cushioning by default. Inspect the empty setup first; if it rocks or a support has failed, resolve the fault rather than trying it under body weight.
